Hello everyone! Since discovering this forum it has become my new favourite thing to do to avoid studying! I'm a fourth year student at the Dick Vet in Edinburgh. I've been involved with the trekking herd here since I started uni and like so many others have fallen in love with the exies because of them. I also bought my very own exmoor just a few months ago-Monty-who is staying at Heathpool for now while I finish uni. He is just a year now and is doing great! If anyone wants any updates on any of the trekking ponies just give me a shout! I'm guessing most people will remember Rosie! Such a special girl We moved location a few weeks ago and are now based just outside Penicuik at Springfield farm, where we'll be for the summer as we are giving Glendevon a miss this year. Cheers, Noreen

Hiya, and welcome to the forum. I'm another ex-dick vet student, leaving uni with four more exmoor ponies than I started with. You do realise they come in herds?? Pictures of Monty please...I haven't seen him since he was tiny!

Gill- you must pop down sometime then! We were hoping to have an open day on sunday if the weather isn't horrible with a BBQ and some baking but i think it's meant to rain Rosie- yes I was well warned when I signed up as a TLC that they come in herds! and Alec is trying his hardest to make that happen! So hard to say no especially when I was out at HP yesterday and met the new wee babies! So cute! Will you be though in Ed anytime? You hear the same names of past TL's over and over again but it would be nice to put a face to the name hmm will try get some photos of Monty up but apparently all mine are too big an attachment....

Hi Noreen, welcome to the forum, I am also an ex trek leader and own a HP pony (just the one at the moment although she is in foal!) What is Monty's breeding? I am so out of touch with who is at HP now!

Hi Noreen, heard that you had bought Monty when I was last down at Heathpool He's a little cutie! I'm Gingle's human and will be down on Sunday to meet my new arrival and hopefully work out whether it's a colt or a filly. Hoping to drop in to the open day on my way down too to catch up with all my old trekking pony pals, especially Rosie and Dessie.

katie- I'll be at HP tomorrow as well! I saw your new little one the other day but couldn't get close enough to tell if the little cutie was a colt/filly. Had the others chasing me once they spotted the food bucket! Becky- so funny to see how many TL's come away with a HP pony! What's her name? Would I know her at all? hope everything goes well with the foal!! Lisa- yeh its not looking so great for the weather i'll be there after i've finished up at heathpool. I must come visit your lot soon! Jess has told me lots! Jess- I blame you entirely!

Heathpool Ulex 93/34 she was on loan to the trekking section for 18mths until Dec 2006 but I expect that was before your time although returned to HP until Oct 2007 when she moved south. Quickthorn is her mother and Pentland her father and she has full siblings you would know (Vlad and Wincey and a half sister in Carlina, not sure if QT has had others since her).
