Hi - our new pony, a 10yr exmoor mare, will hopefully be joining my slightly crazy family (3 children aged 15,11 & 3, a mad collie, a cat, awful goldfish, a very stressy but beautiful TB mare, a yearling filly, a stubborn shetland, oh, and a long suffering husband!) this weekend. She's been a lady of leisure for a few years but is very kind, gentle and loves being handled. We plan to bring her back into work as a riding pony, then start driving her. I'm very interested in natural horsemanship techniques, and would like to know if anyone has experience in this area with exmoor ponies?

How exciting for you We need pics when she arrives ;D. I dabble between traditional horsemanship and also use a variety of ideas/techniques learned from Richard Maxwell. His methods always make sense to me and seem to help me understand my Exmoors ;D
