My name is Lizzie, I do not have any Exmoor ponies, I did learn to ride on one many years ago, I fell in love with the breed. I would love to own one now.

Hi and welcome to the forum . "I'd love to own one now" is a very dangerous thing to say around here. Before you know it you'll have a herd!

Heheh doesn't sound like you'll need much persuading to start another wee herd Welcome to the forum. Tell us a bit more about your old pony? She sounds like she meant a great deal to you.

The pony was call sugar, she came to us from a trekking center, she was scared of sticks, must have been hit, she was a bolter, hated going away from home, would bolt for home, you couldn't catch her, she would run at you with her mouth open and her ears pinned back, eventually she would give in.
She taught men not just how to ride , (you hung on for life or you fell off and she went without you) but how to outsmart a pony that couldn't be caught, she taught patients
you never worried about her getting out of the field as she hated going away from homed , she would wander around the garden or try to make her way into the house, she was a very greedy pony who would steel bread and sugar out of the kitchen, if the door was left open she would let herself him, many times she was caught in the house.
In all the years I have never met a pony like her.
