i have lots of frithesdens who are related to Bracken so will be able to show you pics of some brothers and sisters Are you a member of the society? There is a South East area group of members, covering kent, surrey, sussex and they hold a show once a year (although sadly cancelled this year due to the weather!). If you go on the exmoor pony society main website and search for Areas, you'll find contact details of the area rep Lisa

hi !! thats exactly what bracken used to do when trying to catch her she would zig zag up to the far end of the field then canter down to the gate turn her bottom to you and then wait for you to come down and exactly the same as flint you must approach from the bum end then she will let you clip on the lead rope !!lol must def be a frithesden thing .we moved to a very small yard just 4 ponies (2 of them mine) about 4 months ago and we have had a few times this past few weeks where bracken has walked up to us !! amazing !! like you say they all have their own special ways about them and we love em for it . flint sounds great i have looked at some pics he is handsome .

Yep, mine is a bum person too.If she is in the stable and your attention is off her she will back slowly up to you and nudge with her botty. But she isnt a frithesden, shes an anchor pony. If she is asking you to catch her she gives you her arse end not her head.Whereas if her son gives you his back end it is defensive not friendly.
