Hello, I am Anne and I have a 9 year old unregistered (she has a small patch of white sole) exmoor called willow. I've had her for 18 months. I wasn't really looking for a pony at the time (I also have an IDxTB mare who I was very content with), but I saw her on her own in a local field. I'll not bore you with all the details, but she wasn't in great condition and clearly not very well handled. I thought she was lovely and after a few weeks of visiting her decided she'd be a lot better off with me than anywhere else. After a bit of investigation and negotiation, I bought her 3 months after finding her. Eighteen months later, I am completely smitten and have just traced and bought her 2.5 yo filly (sadly not to an exmoor stallion, but still very lovely). I'm interested in any general discussion about exmoors. Through Willow I am learning what wonderful ponies they are. I've had horses all my life, including breeding and breaking my big mare, but working with Willow has probably been the most rewarding experience I've had.

I do have lots of photos, but all seem to be too large to post. As soon as I work out how to reduce the file size, I'll add some.

Hi Kerry, Yes I feel the same about Willow. It would be nice if she was registered, but it doesn't really matter a great deal to me that she isn't. What's more important is that she's turning into a great little riding pony, and I just love having her around.
