Hi all you Exmoor pony people I have to confess I am not likely to be a huge contributor on here as much as anything due to a total lack of time! I am a mum of 3, including one pony-mad daughter. I work part-time at a riding and holiday centre where I take rides out over our beautiful Exmoor. I am also a part-time (feels like full-time sometimes!) mature student on my 2nd year at Bicton working towards a foundation degree in equine studies. I don't currently have any ponies of my own although I used to have a lovely old Welsh Cob a good many years ago now. My work place has a herd of un-handled Exmoor geldings who were rescued about 20yrs ago, along with 2 Exmoor stallions (pretty sure they are not registered or licensed). I also have a friend who has 2 and a half Exmoors (the other half of the 3rd pony is Welsh Cob!) who I help out with a fair amount. Being and Exmoor girl I have a keen interest in Exmoor ponies and have chosen to use them as a basis for one of my assignments... hence I am about to head over to one of your other boards to post a few questions I hope someone would be able to help me with! cheers Bex

Welcome Bex!! I must admit, your job sounds wonderful - I would LOVE to be paid to take people riding on Exmoor!! ;D
I'm sure there are many, many people on this forum who will be delighted to help you out - I'm a relative newcomer to the breed myself (first sat on an Exmoor only 3 years ago!) but there are breeders, judges and riders galore on here who are all really friendly and helpful! To be honest, I am looking forward to seeing some of the answers to the questions that you raise too!

I admit I do love my job - although it has it's drawbacks when I love it so much that saying no to work when I should be studying does make my time juggling a challenge! Definitely consider myself to be very lucky And looking forward to June when I can forget studying again - until the next time I am daft enough to think it might be a good idea to get more qualifications! lol! Thanks for your welcome
