I have been lurking for a few months, so thought I would introduce myself. I have always had a secret longing for an exmoor, and a few months a go I was given the fantastic opportunity to own Fi Fi.
She has well and truly captured my heart.

Thank you Jen. She is one of Dave and Emma Wallaces beautiful Anchor ponies. Anchor forget me not (4 yr old) by Anchor Bustard out of Anchor Arnica.
Hi Gill. Yes I am on the hamlets house forum too. I also have a cracking 4 yr old New Forest too. Fi has been backed and her proper ridden education is to commence imminentally. It has taken a good month or so for her to build some trust in me on the ground, but she has come round very quickly. So it full steam ahead now. I would love to have her out under saddle later this year if possible.

We have 2 Anchors, one has gone back to the Wallace's to have babies next year (Anchor Eastwind aka Kitty - very excited about the prospect of a baby Kitty!!!) and the other is a lovely big 3yo filly (Anchor Gumdrop aka Lily). Looking forward to hearing lots of success stories from you about lovely Fi Fi!!!

Thank you everyone. I have had all sorts of different types of ponies over the years, from arabs to SHP. But I have found out in my short time as an Exmoor owner 2 things. Exmoors are sooooo different from any other breed, they can be difficult and quirky, but once they trust you, honest and loyal and will try to please. And that Exmoor owners/enthusiasts are among the nicest horsey people that I have met yet!! Refreshing after spending many years of being in a world where everyone is trying to out do everyone else.
